We believe that Urdu is not dying but there are people who want to write its obituary. They not only want to bury the language but also to create a memorial, fit for the few last few emperors of the long Moghul regime. They want to enjoy everything that this language could offer before it finally rest forever, be it awards, (well awards are not important; of course not.. but the money attatched to it is very dear to the writers, journalists and sympathisers of Urdu language), recognition, an elevated 'Chabootra' in the Urdu circle... and anything else that is on offer. So...the crux of the matter is that they want to give this language a grand burial, bury it under a mammoth pyramid, and want to become the Mujawars of that grave... so that a regular income could be generated by the coming generations.
Keep writing in... so that we create a better atmosphere for Urdu...
